Snapshot previews
I am trying to find out how Snap Shots, an online service, handles pages which contains mathematics. Try to move the cursor on the links below to get visual previews of the destination site:
- interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles
- Infinite series does not show any of the images of the formulae,
- Linear Algebra on cnx.org, which has MathML in it unfortunately is shot with a browser that has no MathML fonts installed - but otherwise one can see the formulae
- SWiM, not as good as wikipedia
- ActiveMath page with MathML in. Though I noticed that for many links, it goes to the URL root and not to the specific link.
- display inline videos on YouTube,
- QuickTime video from Mika's iWeb
- RSS from JEM does not seem to work as expected.
I am just adding links here as they come to mind. Now I test if this works in comments to this post, so you can test it on your favorite link.

MathML fonts installed for Snapshot?
The snapshot of the page on cnx with MathML showed that the fonts were not installed properly on the snap.com server. I pointed that out to them and todays' snapshot of ActiveMath looks alright - so to test, I shall link yet another page with MathML in it: n-Category Café. Let's see. Maybe it is a cached snapshot...
