e+Calculus, JEM Workshop 1 Proceedings

The e+Calculus JEM Workshop marked the first in a series of workshops organized by the JEM, Joining Educational Mathematics, Thematic Network and supported by the eContentPlus EU program.

e+Calculus focused on the special topic of "Calculus teaching through new technologies" and aimed to facilitate discussions on how the teaching of Calculus has changed in the past years and how we envision it will change in the future.

The workshop ran for 3 days, 8-9-10 February, 2007, of which the first was devoted to bringing together the Portuguese eLearning community and the last two days were devoted to international experiences in eLearning of Calculus. It was hosted by the Department of Mathematics of the Faculdade de Ciências at the Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal and attended by approximately 35 participants.
